2nd semester 4th post
this week i added alarm functionality to my code and on order to do so i had to edit the existing functions to use pointers in order to make it easier to use them with the alarm struct. when testing my code the display counted random numbers and i have absolutely no idea what is causing the problem. i've been spending some time trying to debug it but it's probably going to take a while.
2nd semester 3rd post
this week i was finally able to get the new version of my code to work properly. now i will begin adding button and alarm functionality. i'll also have to start building a test circuit for the buttons and switches which could present a bit of a problem since the buttons i have dont have pins that fit in the bread board.
2nd semester 2nd post
over winter break my car's engine went kablammo and my dad and i decided to put a new one in ourselfs. the engine is arriving this weekend and we will begin the process of removing the old engine when it comes in. aside from that, i've had some trouble getting the new version of my code to work properly on the clock so i've been spending a lot of time debugging the toBinary and display functions. pretty soon im going to get a solder board to start making my circuit more permanent.
2nd semester 1st post
so im pretty excited about this six weeks because in my engineering design class we are starting arduino projects, which means i'll have even more time to work on my clock project. the clock project itself is comming along decently, though i have quite a bit left to do on the hardware side of things. I hope to finish my clock in the first half of this semester so i can begin a new arduino project that pulls live data from my car's obd II port and displays it on top of my dash board.
